Take a First Look at the Air Jordan 3 "Cardinal Red"

As we move closer towards 2022, we are getting a better idea of what Jordan Brand has prepared for the new year. Expecting to release during the early months of 2022, we now have a first look at the Air Jordan 3 “Cardinal Red.”

Centered around a mix of “White/Light Curry/Cardinal Red/Cement Grey,” the upcoming take on the AJ3 resembles the Air Jordan 7 “Cardinal” released back in 2011. The upper of the shoe features a premium white leather base accented by the signature elephant print overlays, bold red and deep yellow elements. Branding comes in the form of Jumpman motifs at the tongue and heels to finish up the design of the shoe.

Reportedly priced at $200 USD, the Air Jordan 3 “Cardinal Red” is now expected to arrive February 24.

The Air Jordan 5 “Shattered Backboard” Releases On October 2nd

First rumored in November 2020, the Air Jordan 5 “Shattered Backboard” has officially been confirmed for an October 2nd release.

Laden in a “Sail” tone, the upcoming sneakers reimagine Tinker Hatfield’s iconic design from 1990 with textile and exposed foam across the mid-foot, collar and heel. Leather paneling covers the remainder of the Jordans‘ uppers, save for the silhouette’s signature profile windows. Reflective “Metallic Silver” takes over the top of the tongue, while hits of “Black” play a supporting role across the entirety of the pair. “Orange Blaze” arguably steals the show as it animates Jumpman logos throughout the upper, as well as the bulk of the midsole. Lastly, the outsole’s semi-translucent finish indulges in a slightly-yellowed makeup that both complements the upper’s off-white look and delivers an “aged” aesthetic.
